TOPBILLING: SABC3'S PRESENTER SEARCH CONTINUES

SABC3s' Top Billing in partnership with Nedbank are doing it yet again this year. The "MyTop billing Dream" presenter search is on, and it is about to end as we having top 7 contestants on the list remaining as the auditions were held in almost all big cities.

  • Greg
  • Jonathan
  • Kanya
  • Lauren B
  • Lynelle
  • Zama N
They are all perfect for this position, but the question is, do all relevant stakeholders involved in deciding who's suitable for this position? I mean in terms of communication: do the public allowed to vote? or its just judges decision on who's leaving and who's safe?. While I was visiting their website, I didn't see any ordinary voting procedure (SMS line procedure) but I saw only online voting where Jonathan was leading with 24% followed by Zama Ngcobo with 20% of votes. In overall, I think would be wise if they can include the public as well to participate in deciding who's perfect because they're the one watch the programme.

    Yes,brillient idea man,it`s up to the viewers to decide who`s perfect.I mean everything depends on the target audiencebut I`d go with Zama Ngcobo,that girl is so talented

    exactly MT the viewers should be given the opportunity to vote for their best contest, although, the judges decision was final they should should have took into account the inputs for the audience experince

    I have to say that we as viewers have to be given the chance to vote we are the one who will be watching the show, we know what is best for us.

    it is true if they do allow public to participate because viewers ussual follower any show where the presenter give the media user a little bit of personal identity.

    It is true SABC3 have to involve the pulbic by many ways of voting such on mxit,facebook if the online procedure does not involve that and even by making a call.

    SABC 3 should definetly include the public. I love Lauren, her confidence,and shes not just a pretty face but a dancer too and she has the perfect image for Top billing.

    public consent must be taking into consideration, because as much as the judges are given powers, the public are the ones who watch the show and generate viewership for the show. SABC3 must definetly come up with an initiative to involve the public in the decision making, seeing that not everyone who watches top billing is a regular internet user.

    well i also fully agree with you mthokozisi that we as the public should also be given a chance to vote and decide who is the winner because after all the winner will be the one who will either be boring or entertaining us on our tv screens.
