LIVE IN SA: kanye West to rock SA next year. www.castlelite.co.za |
The event, which will be sponsored by alcohol beverage maker Castle Lite, is said to be scheduled for 2 February 2013, when Kanye West will perform to his fans at an undisclosed venue in Johannesburg. Brand campaign manager of Castle Lite Khayakazi Dyantyi said: "Yes, it is true we are bringing Kanye West next year, for a one-night-only event".
Lately, it seems there is some tight competition between beer providers as they bring international stars to perform in South Africa following Hansa Pilsener bringing Usher earlier this year.
WHY CASTLE LITE SPONSORING THE EVENT?
- Sponsorship is one of the main communication practise that allows an organisation to gain publicity at large
- according to Castle Lite, this is one of their communication methods that allows them to communicate with their target market.
- This event will bring international recognition
- Most of the Castle Lite target audiences are men, and most target audiences of Kanye West are men, so that is why they chose to bring him.

DeleteIt is a good thing that international artists are visiting our country but I also think that their events should also benefit both parties (international artist and the country).
ReplyDeleteyeah you right.i think there will be some local artists who will open up for kanye west but m not sure

ReplyDeleteI agree with noni they should include some of South African artists particularly mzansi hip hop artists so that both parties will be benefited.
ReplyDeletealthough i fully understand that he is a hip hop/rnb artist but they shuold include not only mzansi hip hop but all kinds of music
DeleteI heard about this somewhere and a lot of people are still complaining that we pay so much money and time when it comes to international artists but we fail to support our own artists.
ReplyDeleteexactly, the sponsored prefere to pay a lumb sum of amount to these artists wehreas they are failing to do so in our local artists, the tickets are soo xpensive
Deletewhen will internatinal artist come to S.A an make profit to boost our nayion i think we as south africans we spend a lot of money on matters that will not create change for us why not focus on issues like poverty, education and other issues
ReplyDeleteour country do focus on your concern, however they need to maintain the balance between all types of lifestyle ( music, education, art, social development)
Deleteits a good thing more overseas starts are coming to perform in Mzanzi i hope that they will even start to do some work with South African musicians to put our stars out there with the best
ReplyDeletetheir problem is that they dont leave the legacy/share their experience with SA artists, they just perform and leave.
Deletei love kanye west, hopefully i'll have enough money to buy the ticket.
ReplyDeleteMtho today this international artist aint geting enough support from fans when thy peform local. Well i dont know about Kanye if is gonna be a boom or same as the previous artist performance. The fans complaint about the tickets price being high and poor organising.
