Rolling with Kelly Khumalo...I know some of you know very well what I am talking about, e-TV brings another "Rolling"celebrity profile show for the second season. I was quiet surprise when I first seen "Rolling with Kelly Khumalo-uncovered" show on Sunday at 18:30, to me, it was like ohh!! this show is back!...whose the show is all about? in couple of minutes I found that its Kelly Khumalo, guess what came first into my mind-I asked myself "is Kelly still exist in this industry?
In a communication point point of view or in a public relations angle I can say e-TV deserve to be given a thumbs-up on what they are doing in keeping our public figures close to us. This is a rare opportunity that allows celebrity to share his/her private life with his/her fans, this benefits and boost the chosen celebrity's image.

To be more specific, we all know Kelly's image, starting from her positive media reputation around 2003 until it turned dramatically into being negative especially when she became drug edict...to her fiance's scandal "Jub Jub"in 2010. From that time we seen Kelly going up-and-down, the media reports also played its role in ruining her reputation, but now it seems that Kelly is back with more fire than before. What e-TV did to ensure that our public figures keep in-touch with us as public by introducing such show its marvellous. After this show I realised that the media have a role in building and destroying someone's image.
Man the media is the controller of a celebrity`s reputation,if they want to portray you in a negative way they will,and people will believe it

DeleteThe media plays a very crucial role in building and destroying every person's life. But what is good,is that most of the time media shows the public what celebrities do, when we are not aware of the things they do. This show that celebs are human beings just like all of us,the special thing about them is that they are popular.

DeleteWhen you are a prominent figure in society, it is known that the media can make or brake you. Kelly was distroyed by the media and now it is taking her back into the limelight, it is good though that the media can fix what they had broken.

Deletethats why celebrity should know that when they are in the public eye they should make sure that they don't things that will ruin the career like drugs for instance could ruin someone's career because the media can crush them

DeleteE TV is really doing well to make sure that our public figures are back to the media, recently it was rolling with Zola now is kelly khumalo..Etv is indeed playing a major role to bring back our favourite celebrities back to reality.

DeleteI think this programme will help many celebs or Kelly to re-build their/her image as the media frame them/her in any way or negative if I may say so. The people watching will understand why celebs act the way they do and it will also help those celebs that cannot face the public when there is a fault to be rectified.

ReplyDeleteIt is a nice way to re-build her image, but i think its enough now about reality shows because it seems as if every celebrity now wants a reallity show, to mention a few its Kelly, Dineo, Hlelo and Ntando and now its Bonang.
