After criticism from the public about last year's MTN South African music achievements awards the organisers got the message and its obvious that they took it into consideration, This year's SAMA awards (took place in Sun City this previous weekend on the 29-30 April 2012) was on its top-spot ranging from its performances,stage setting, lighting and crew presenters. The organisers has able to combine and to communicate with all concerned stakeholders, the other thing that I'm happy about,is the way of selecting and voting for the artists.
At the moment there are no serious complaints about selecting process and judging proccess although I still not satisfied the way this event was being advertised, there were few advertisements which were promoting this event even on our media channels there was less coverage ,of which, I think this was caused by last year's unsatisfactory about this events. But after all the SAMA's is back with its vibe and if they continue organising this event like this year's awards that means there are lots to come.

DeleteThe 2012 SAMA awards were an upgrade compared to last years event. They had a sense of professionalism and I think the organising commitee outdid themselves this time, hope they can be able to keep it up in coming years.

DeleteYes Mthokozisi I think they tried but I`m not quite satisfied about the way they selected artists,there are some artists that have not been selected while they deserved to be selected. When the channel O awards come you should look at the artists that will be selected and compare them with the artists that were selected on the SAMAS. I know we don`t share the same interest of music but you`ll see the difference
