DOES THE CELEBRITE'S PHYSICAL APPEARENCE IMPORTANT?

Mshoza (timelive.co.za)
It's always a bit strange when young celebrities get plastic surgery so soon after becoming famous; it make us wonder why they didn't just do it a little earlier and avoid having speculate about their changes in appearance. This makes me wonder and questioning myself: does the physical appearance mean something in an entertainment industry? or it's just a way of getting publicity and attention? or its because they are not satisfied with their natural bodies? or it's because they like to be beautiful?

Shona Ferguson (curious pic)

Referring to some of our local entertainment personalities; Mshoza (artist) "faked" herself lately by lightening her skin, this made her flying allover the media-according to Saturday Star newspaper some of South African ended up gave her the  name of "Mrs Micheal Jackson". Another famous personality who performed this "body construction" is Khanyi Mbau (socialite, actress and artist), she enlarged her breasts. This culture of shaping physical appearance is seen mostly in females, but lately some male celebrities acknowledged the importance of physical appearance (in a positive way), some of them are: dj Cleo, Hawza (artists) who lately become fit-by using gym regularly and also actor Shaun Ferguson... All these celebrities changed their looks in different ways- DOES THIS MAKE THE DIFFERENCE IN THEIR PERCEPTION???

  1. most artist tend to believe that thier self image will contribute to thier brand identity that is where they go wrong, a brand has to be build so is an image,it does not need to go through some "horrible" cuts, artists need to realise that it does matter how "hot" you look it wont make your sales or career better, the way you carry yourself and present yourself to the public will determine your success in the indusrty

    1. exactly, the way you behave in the public determines your public perception regardless of your physical appearence.

  2. What i would like to say is that it is good to be proud of your natural skin than to fake your self. Those celebrities who seek attention they should perform well in what they are doing in order to get attention not to fake themselves.

  3. Most of them don't feel comfortable but others don't even know why they chane their bodies just like Msozha her reason of wanting a ligter skin don't make sense in her interview in Noleen 3 talk she says she wants her skin to like white skins like lady Gaga i don't think if you are not comfortable with you skin you will go to such an extent

  4. Lack of self confidence is leading them to do things to impress people not themselves and changing your look is not they way to change the perception of people about you but perfomance and attitudes towards them can make them a better people.

  5. Changing your appearance means one is not comfortable in their own skin and do not love themself. This whole fake physical appearance is only done to increase the celebrity's rate.

  6. Is not a right choice to change your physical body, or she believe that white skin has lucky.people need to be proud of himself.

  7. fame, sometimes can mislead people, they change themselves in order to fell accepted and wanted,it ends up destroying their reputation and ruining their lives. People must learn to accept themselves as individual..

    1. Yes,fame sometimes mislead them,as far as i know beauty is only about your appearence but its also about your actions; things you do on your daily bases determines beauty and your perception.

  9. in our culture, we say if you do something like this, you are permanently chasing your ancestors away, what mshoza did is totally unacceptable. now she is starting to lose her mind, they have already turned their backs on her

  10. u know as an individual you should be proud of how you look because that is how God wanted you to look like. people forget that these surgeries have negative effects that could make them look even 100% more ugly or damage their bodies and skins. this is something that is killing the nation because it is mostly done by celebrities and people who look up to them also follow it because they think that it is a good idea since their role-models do it.it is sad that some people even die trying such things out.
